Terms & Conditions
By booking with Rent A Digga, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. General
- Company: Rent A Digga (ABN 12 345 678 901), referred to as "we", "us", "our" or "the Company".
- Equipment: Refers to the Bobcat E17 Compact Excavator, including all attachments and accessories supplied.
- Hirer: Refers to the person or business hiring the Equipment ("you").
2. Booking & Payment
- All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by the Company.
- Full payment must be made prior to, or at the time of, collection or delivery.
- Hire fees are charged per day (24-hour period) unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- A security deposit may be required prior to hire. This will be refunded, less any applicable charges, once the Equipment is returned in satisfactory condition.
3. Delivery & Collection
- Delivery is available for an additional fee within our service area. Delivery times are an estimate and may vary.
- The Hirer is responsible for ensuring adequate access for delivery and/or collection.
- If you opt for collection, valid photo ID is required at pick-up.
4. Hirer’s Responsibilities
- The Equipment must only be used for its intended purpose and operated by competent persons over 18 years old.
- You must comply with all laws, workplace safety requirements, and local council regulations when operating the Equipment.
- Daily checks and basic maintenance (e.g., topping up fuel, cleaning) are the responsibility of the Hirer.
- The Equipment must not be sub-let, loaned, or removed from the agreed site without written permission.
5. Damage, Loss & Insurance
- The Hirer is fully responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to the Equipment during the hire period, regardless of fault.
- Any damage or issues must be reported to us immediately. Do not attempt repairs without written consent.
- You are responsible for the cost of repairs or replacement if the Equipment is damaged, lost, or stolen.
- The Equipment must be returned in clean condition. Cleaning fees may apply if excessively dirty.
6. Cancellation & Refunds
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the hire period will receive a full refund.
- Cancellations within 48 hours may incur a fee up to one day’s hire charge.
- No refund is available after the hire period commences.
7. Liability
- Rent A Digga is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage suffered by the Hirer, operator, or any third party resulting from the use of the Equipment.
- We do not guarantee the suitability of the Equipment for your specific project. Please check suitability before hiring.
8. Return of Equipment
- Equipment must be returned by the agreed date and time. Late returns may incur additional charges.
- We reserve the right to charge extra for Equipment returned damaged, incomplete, or excessively dirty.
9. Privacy
- We collect and store personal information as required to process your booking. Your details are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to Terms
- We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your booking will apply.
